Man arrested after reports woman forced into car in Bessbrook
Police have arrested a 35-year old man following reports a woman was forced into a car in Bessbrook.
It is believed the woman, in her 20s, was pulled into the vehicle in the Carrick Vista area just after 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon and driven away.
The car and occupants were found by police just before half past six.
The male driver was arrested by police - he remains in custody.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Anyone who witnessed what happened or who has information that could assist police enquiries to get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 1336 08/12/22.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
