Man (45) arrested after girl is stabbed in Belfast city centre
A 45-year-old man has been arrested after a teenage girl was stabbed in Belfast City Centre.
The teenager sustained a knife wound to her hand in the Academy Street area on Saturday.
Police say a man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is currently in police custody where he is assisting police with enquiries.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Anyone who was in the area at the time, and in particular, may have mobile phone footage of the incident, is asked to contact detectives on 101, and quote reference number 1374 of 02/10/21.”
