Friends of the late Kathryn Parton have described her as 'the most beautiful, vibrant soul that you could ever meet.'

The 34-year-old was found dead at her home in east Belfast last Wednesday.

A small crowd gathered at Island Hill in Comber on Friday to pay their respects.

Lanterns with heartfelt messages were lit and released into the sky as a tribute.

Friend Kirstie Cunningham said: "No matter how she was feeling she always shone light into your life and tried to make you feel better.

"She had such a calm and pure nature, I'm heartbroke."

Another friend Orla described her outgoing nature: "She was the most happiest, loveliest soul, happiest soul of the party, she lit up every single room she went into.

"Any downfalls, heartbreaks, heartaches you had in your own life, she knew what to say to get you back on the saddle and make you go again.

"She had a one-liner for everything and an amazing taste in music."

23-year-old Jamie Love from Madrid Street, is charged with Ms Parton's murder.

Suzanne Love, the accused’s mother who's 43 and from Isoline Street, faces three charges in connection with the death, including attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Reece Oliver, 22, from Castleton Avenue in Belfast, is also charged with assisting an offender and aiding and abetting breach of bail.
