Investigation launched after man's body found

A man's body has been found in Whitehead.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances around his death - after his body was recovered from the water near the Blackhead path this afternoon.
Inspector Mick Wood: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man after a body was recovered from the water near the Blackhead Path, Whitehead this afternoon (Tuesday, April 2).
"A post-mortem will be carried out in due course. There are no further details at this time."
