Halloween Swap Shop: Bring your old costume back to life

Halloween trick-or-treaters and party goers and being given the opportunity to upcycle their old costumes and source new ones at special pop-up shops.
Derry City and Strabane District Council is once again hosting the events as part of Recycling Week.
Anyone with unwanted Halloween costumes and props are being urged to give them a new lease of life by donating to the Swap Shop at locations across Derry and Strabane.
Costumes can also be dropped- off at various boo-tique bins dotted throughout the City and District.
The initiative is free, and preregistration is not required.
The first Halloween costume Swap Shop is happening this weekend on Saturday the 12th where you can explore treasure troves full of items at the Alley Theatre.
The following Saturday, at the Guildhall and the Alley Theatre, the stores will run from 11am to 3pm.
The locations and times for the boo-tique bins are:
The Guildhall from Monday – Friday from 9am to 8pm and weekends from 9am to 6pm.
Council Offices, Strand Road from Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Pennyburn Industrial Estate, open Mon – Thurs from 9am to 5pm, Friday from 9am to 4.30pm.
The Alley Theatre Mon – Sat from 10am to 5pm
The Waterside Shared Village, open Tues to Fri from 3pm to 10pm and weekends from 10am to 5pm.
