Foster: 'DUP-Tory deal to deliver for NI'
DUP leader Arlene Foster has insisted the deal between the Tories and her party will deliver for Northern Ireland.
Mrs Foster was speaking at the DUP's annual conference on Saturday, referencing the ÂŁ1bn confidence and supply deal agreed with Theresa May's party in the summer after a poor general election performance.
"Do you remember who some said the DUP would push a narrow agenda in our negotiations?" she said.
"Well, what was secured was secured for everyone across Northern Ireland.
"A deal that benefits all of the people and it wasn't just an agreement about Northern Ireland.
"We have ensured that pensioners in every part of our kingdom will have the security of knowing that the triple lock on pensions is safe and the winter fuel payment will remain universal."
