Drunk driver crashes into car with 6 month old baby inside

A drunk driver has crashed into the back of a car, sending it through the window of a takeaway in Portadown.

The family car was parked up outside a Chinese takeaway with a 6 month old on board on Friday night.

A drunk driver, who had stolen the vehicle he was driving, crashed into the back of them, sending their car through the window of the Chinese.

The driver arrested at the scene and later blew over twice the legal limit in custody.

He was charged with aggravated TADA, drink driving, driving with no licence, driving unaccompanied and failing to display L plates.

Police took to social media to condemn the incident.

They said "The lines are too slender. Between prison time and freedom for the offender, between life and death for the victim.

"It is NEVER worth it."
