Downpatrick: suspicious object declared nothing untoward
A security alert started in the early hours of this morning
A suspicious object examined by police in Downpatrick has been declared nothing untoward.
Officers were called to the Goal Lane area in the early hours of this morning.
An update from the PSN said, “A suspicious object found in a car in the Gaol Lane area of Downpatrick in the early hours of this morning has been examined and declared nothing untoward.”
“The object which is believed to be a large electric battery pack will be removed and disposed of in due course.”
“Gaol Lane remains closed at this time.”
