Crews attend Isle of Man aircraft 'incident'
An emergency response operation has been triggered
An accident involving an aircraft has prompted a huge emergency response off the Isle of Man coast.
Belfast Coastguard confirmed there had been an incident involving an aircraft off the island.
The Isle of Man Constabulary said all emergency services were currently in attendance in the Port Erin area.
It appears to have happened just beyond the southern side of the bay on Bradda Head, making it difficult for anyone onshore to have witnessed it.
Emergency services in the area include police, fire crews, diving teams, an HM Coastguard helicopter and two lifeboats, which remain at the bottom of the cliff.
People have been urged to avoid the area, particularly Bradda Road and Tower Road.
As a result of the ongoing incident, the Isle of Civil Aviation Administration has placed emergency restrictions on flying drones in the area.
A ban on flying the devices within 2 nautical miles (3.7km) off Bradda Head at any level has been put in place until at least 23:59 BST on Tuesday.
