The Northern Ireland Executive is meeting today (Monday) to discuss whether or not to tighten up covid mitigations as cases continue to rise.

Ministers will be looking at proposals contained in a paper from Health Minister, Robin Swann.

Mr Swann has already suggested people should work from home if they can.

The Executive will consider if some restrictions needed to be reined in.

Ministers have said they want to avoid implementing any major changes over the next few weeks while Mr Swann in a recent interview (see above) with Downtown Radio & Cool FM said he did not want a Christmas lockdown.

It is believed Ministers will stress the need to continue to wear face coverings when required and continue with social distancing and hand-hygiene.
