Belfast's Disney store will be closing this September

The enchanting magic of the Disney store has been a playful character on Belfast's high street.
According to a sign put up in the front of the store on Donegall Place in Belfast's city centre, the Disney store will close its doors for good by September 14th.
Disney announced plans to revamp stores worldwide, which included the closure of up to 60 stores across the United States. This left fans wondering what will happen in the UK.
This week, a notice on the door of the Belfast store confirmed the closure. It read: "Thank you for being our Guest.
This store will close on or before Saturday 18th September. You'll still be able to find amazing items from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, plus lots more magic at shopdisney.co.uk."
The company is currently leaning towards online retail via shopdisney.co.uk
"While consumer behaviour has shifted toward online shopping, the global pandemic has changed what consumers expect from a retailer,” Stephanie Young, President of Consumer Products, Games and Publishing, said in a statement earlier this year.
With schools back, the next event on the calendar will be Halloween and Christmas, which are typically peak time for sales.
The Disney store will be sadly missed from Donegall Place.
