A new report conducted by Moneypenny has revealed the best cities in the UK to retire, with Belfast, Leeds, and Bradford scoring the top mark.

The study analysed factors including the cost of living, average retirement savings needed, and variety of amenities.

Retirement marks a significant milestone, offering the opportunity to spend your golden years embracing a lifestyle filled with relaxation and new adventures.

To help those who are searching for the perfect place to enjoy a fulfilling and comfortable environment, Moneypenny has revealed the best locations in the UK to retire, based on several factors that include the average cost of living, retirement savings needed, and variety of amenities.

Belfast offers retirees the best of both affordable living and a variety of activities to take part in.

The city scored high for its low cost of living, as retirees will find that the cost of groceries, transportation, and utilities are generally lower than mainland UK.

In fact, according to Numbeo data, rent in Belfast is 63% lower than in London, averaging £703 per month.
