Belfast International Airport training response ongoing
'There is no need for members of the public to be alarmed'
Belfast International Airport has urged passengers not to be concerned by the 'significant number of emergency vehicles and personnel' on site as it carries out a training exercise.
The airport said it is happening on the airfield and within the terminal to allow teams and partners to practice and plan for an incident.
Partners involved include the emergency services, airlines and ground handling partners.
The airport has warned passengers may see an increase in activity and a significant number of emergency vehicles and personnel as part of the exercise.
However, it has stressed that there is no need for members of the public to be alarmed.
A certain area within the terminal will be used and cordoned off to the public and airport staff will be in place to allay any concerns raised by passengers.
