'Arson attack' in South Belfast investigated
Detectives are investigating an arson attack in South Belfast on Tuesday afternoon.
The property on Rockview Street was on fire when the resident returned home at around 4.15pm.
The man tried to get into the property, thinking his two dogs were inside, but was beaten back by the smoke.
He sustained some minor burn injuries and was suffering from smoke inhalation and is being treated in hospital.
The property was extensively damaged in the blaze.
The dogs were not inside the property at the time.
Both dogs have been located safe and well and have been returned to their owner.
