20 staff members at top NI hospital self-isolating after positive Covid tests

At least 20 members of staff at Craigavon Area Hospital are self isolating after three colleagues tested positive for covid-19.
The three staff who tested positive all work in the Respiratory Emergency Department.
In a statement, the Southern Health Trust said: "As a precaution, any other members of staff who have been in close contact with the confirmed cases are being tested and are currently at home isolating.
"At this stage it is understood that the infection may have transferred in a social setting ie not within the ED.
"Staff in the Emergency Department wear full personal protective equipment when treating patients therefore we do not believe there is any risk to patients at this time. "
A Trust spokeswoman said while the department remained open it was "extremely busy" and urged the public to only attend "if there is no other alternative".
