16 more covid related deaths in NI

The Department of Health has recorded 16 covid related deaths in the 24 hours between 2pm yesterday (Thursday), and 2pm today (Friday).

It means 1,915 people have now died after testing positive for covid-19.

506 cases were detected from 3,008 people who were tested.

At present, 636 hospital inpatients have coronavirus, 67 of whom are being treated in ICU.

There are 36 ICU beds empty.
