September marks the end of festival season for 2017 and a return to the regular music calendar. That does not mean there is any less choice though, just a move back to indoor venues. With a number of big names and live gigs across Northern Ireland, September boasts something for everyone on the music scene.

Nathan Carter, 5, The Grand Opera House, Belfast

It is never too early to get into the Christmas spirit and Nathan Carter fans can feature in 'The Nathan Carter Show' Christmas special. The Irish Country star has invited his audience to take part in the celebration, ahead of the 2017 festive season.

Ryan Adams, 8, Ulster Hall, Belfast

This American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and poet brings his alternative country sound to Belfast featuring songs from all of his 15 albums.

G4 Live in Concert, 10, Waterfront Hall, Belfast

This operatic band, famous for their reworking of pop songs return to Ireland for the first time in over 10 years. This show features songs from their brand new album- G4 Love Songs and they will be joined on stage by soprano Margaret Keys, Oli Nez, Sorrelli Strings and a local choir.

Flogging Molly, Blood or Whiskey, 11, The Limelight, Belfast

This Irish-American seven piece Celtic punk band bring their Californian sound to Belfast with vocalist Dave King, formerly of the hard rock band Fastway, fronting the gig.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers, 20 & 21, 3ARENA, Dublin

This gig was originally planned for December 2016 and was postponed due to frontman Anthony Kiedis suffering from flu. The guys return to Dublin fighting fit as part of their world tour.

Ulster Orchestra, 22, Waterfront Hall, Belfast

This show combines both old and new music with a special influence from Latin America and features Sir James Galway on the flute.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show, 26, SSE Arena, Belfast

This tribute band is described as the leading and biggest show of its kind in the world and has sold four million tickets worldwide. Their critically acclaimed show returns to Belfast this September.

Chris Rock, 30, 3ARENA, Dublin

Grammy and Emmy award winning comedian returns to the touring scene for the first time in over nine years as part of his Total Blackout tour.

Gareth Dunlop, 30, Island Arts Centre, Lisburn

Described by Culture Northern Ireland as "a voice that could tame dinosaurs," this Belfast singer songwriter has spent the past few years between his hometown and Nashville. His upcoming tour promises to be full of country influences from both sides of the Atlantic.
