The Farmers’ Bash, the iconic country brand will move across the Lagan to its new summer home next June at Belfast’s Ormeau Park to become part of Belsonic 🤯

Since its introduction in 2017, the annual country extravaganza has blossomed into one of Ireland's premier country music events, consistently drawing capacity crowds at the SSE Arena.

This unique gathering witnessed Ulster farmers trade in their wellies and boots for gingham, denim, and cowboy hats, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of country music celebration.

Not having taken place since 2021, the Farmers Bash will return to its biggest venue and stage since the brand was established and will play host to a musical extravaganza including Derek Ryan, The Whistlin Donkeys, The Tumbling Paddies, All Folk’d Up and Meadhbh Walsh with the tease of other acts to be announced.

As the popularity of country music continues to soar in Ireland, event organisers are gearing up to elevate Irish country and folk music to new heights, with an expected audience of up to 10,000 enthusiasts at the Ormeau Road venue.

The venue will also host international stars like Take That, Sting, and Picture This, with The Farmers' Bash becoming a significant addition to Belsonic’s roster of world-class performers in the summer of 2024.

Speaking today, Nigel Campbell creator and promoter of the Farmers Bash, has welcomed the inclusion of the country event at Belsonic, one of Ireland’s biggest festivals next June and sees it as a resounding endorsement of the brand, which will undoubtedly take it to a new level and wider audience.

Nigel remarked, "When we launched The Farmers' Bash in 2017, we could hardly have foreseen its enduring popularity among country music enthusiasts. Even during the challenges of the pandemic, it adapted and thrived as a drive-in show in Ballymena. It also travelled to Edinburgh last year to become part of the Royal Highland Show. With country music reaching new heights and the addition of folk rock to our line-up next year, we anticipate nothing short of a huge event."

“Country music is at an all time high and with the inclusion of folk rock to the billing next year we are predicting a major event.”

The Farmers Bash takes place as part of Belsonic at Ormeau Park on Friday 7th June 2024 with tickets on sale this Friday 8th December at 9 am via Ticketmaster.
