Over 135 Pride events to take place this year across Belfast

Belfast Pride will be bringing a rainbow of colour back to the city this year with a full programme of exciting events including a Pride Village, Party in the Square at Custom House Square and of course the Parade.

Belfast Pride was previously ranked as one of the best Pride events in the UK, and with the pandemic postponing the last two events, this year's going to extra special.

With over 135 events across ten days, this year’s celebrations begin from Friday 26th July until Sunday 4th August.

Cool FM and Downtown Radio are proud to be the official media partners for Belfast Pride this year. We’ll be celebrating and marching at the parade.

Friday 22nd July – Belfast LGBT+ History Tour

Learn more about Belfast's rich and often hidden LGBT+ history on this FREE tour with professional tour guide Richard Orr. See where history happened and hear first-hand stories of what it was like when it was illegal to be gay here before 1982.

A multi-room Britney extravaganza with a live Britney Tribute and lots more.

Friday 22nd July BYO – Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Strand Cinema

Sing along to one of the greatest queer cinematic pieces of our time at the iconic Strand cinema.

Saturday 23rd July – Rainbow Parkrun at Colin Glen Forest Park

You don't have to be a fitness freak to take part in this year's Rainbow Row at Colin Glen, you can walk or jog, feel free to bring the kids and dog too. This promises to be a fun and friendly 5K community event.

Saturday 23rd July - Big Pride Picnic at Belfast City Hall

Putting the LGBTQ+ families in the heart of the city with HERe NI, The Rainbow Project and Belfast Pride's LGBTQ+ family fun day. Look forward to storytelling, a bouncy castle, temporary tattoos and mini explorers.

Saturday 23rd July – Quartered: Belfast, A Love Story

A funny, poignant and deeply human theatrical audio walking tour of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. This one-hour tour lets you see through the prism of the LGBTQ+ experience, making familiar streets seem brand new.

Saturday 23rd July – A Tipsy Drag Experience at Tipsy Bird

Join The Tipsy Bird for an absolutely fabulous drag brunch extravaganza on the 23rd of July with the Queens that are Trudy Scrumptious, Etta Stiletta and Roxy Tumbledryer!

Sunday 24th July – Football vs Queerphobia, Ormeau Embankment

A football tournament for all at the Ozone Complex from 1pm -7pm you don't want to miss this!

Sunday 24th July - Lipstick Assassins: Blu Hydrangea x Pangina Heals at Empire Music Hall

Blu Hydangea, recently crowned queen of the muthatuckin' world, welcomes Pangina from Bangkok to Belfast for her first ever appearance anywhere in Ireland. Featuring looks, performances and all the tee from RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World, this is the reunion we all need to see!

Monday 25th July – Pride Talks Back – Policy Focus at Common Market

The biggest LGBTQ+ debate of the year is back. Following on from their Northern Ireland Assembly Election Debate, this year the team are bringing something different to the table. Pride Talks Back provides people with an opportunity to put their questions to those with responsibility for the protection of our community and the promotion of LGBTQ+ inclusion and human rights.

Monday 25th July – Mega Monday’s Party at The Maverick

Pure Bent kicks off Pride week with guest performers, games, DJ requests and karaoke.

Monday 25th July – B*tch Battle at Union Street Bar

Trudy and Pauletta host a drag battle to crown the Belfast's biggest b*tch.

Monday 25th July – NEON Monday’s Pride Party at BOOMBOX

NEON Monday's Pride Party with DJ Paddy Walsh and hosted by Pure Bent

Tuesday 26th July – NI Blood Transfusion Donor Registration at Belfast LGBTQ+ Centre

Join NIBTS and TRPNI who will be on hand to take you through some basic questions ahead of booking you a lifesaving appointment for the Pride Blood Drive on August 10th.

Tuesday 26th July – Dry Disco at The Black Box

Boogie on down to the Green Room in the Black Box for a 'Dry Disco' (alcohol free event) and enjoy the very best pride anthems, Disco dress is optional!

Tuesday 26th July – Paint with Pride at Belfast LGBTQ+ Centre

Enjoy a relaxing evening of Art Therapy as the team "Paint their Pride". The event will be facilitated by Rebecca Black from Pierced by them and Hannah Constance. Places are limited so register your interest asap with amie@lgbtmh.org

Tuesday 26th July – Snatch Game of Love & Becca’s Bank at Libertine

Trudy Scrumptious is your host for Libertine's Snatch Game, contestants are the Only Sassie, Elle Vosque, Becca Boots and Titti Von Tramp. Becca will be hosting a special pride edition of Becca's Bank.

Wednesday 27th July – The Big Trans Picnic at Botanic Gardens

Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and head down to Botanic Gardens to join many other trans and gender diverse folk to enjoy an afternoon in the sunshine (fingers crossed)

Wednesday 27th July – Video Games Night at Belfast Trans Resource Centre

Bringing back their video games night for Pride, gamers can enjoy pizza whilst jumping on a console or two.

Wednesday 27th July – Pride Living Library at The MAC

This is a unique opportunity for the public to gain insight and knowledge of lived experiences of being LGBTQIA+ with a diverse range of books available.

Wednesday 27th July – Pride Céilí at the Oh Yeah Music Centre

After a full house for the first Pride Céilí in 2019, the team are partnering with Belfast TradFest to bring live music traditional music from Ciarán Kelly and friends with dances called by Ronán Eastwood. For tickets visit belfasttraditionalmusic.com/pride-ceili

Wednesday 27th July – Queer Comedy Night at the Ulster Sports Club

Come along and have a laugh at Ulster Sports Club first ever comedy night, complete with an incredible line-up.

Thursday 28th July – The Big Gay Quiz at Common Market

Hosted by the delectable Trudy Scrumptious, The Rainbow Project's annual Pride Week fundraiser "The Big Gay Quiz" supported by Taboo Presents. Complete with massive prizes and great music and even better banter.

Thursday 28th July – Rainbow Party at Kremlin

An all-out Rainbow Party to celebrate Pride in all its colours.

Thursday 28th July – Chomatica UV Rave at Libertine

Chromatica raves are popping up al over the world so this is one for all you Little Monsters. Gaga tribute and dancers live on stage and a UV Chromatica rave in the club with Gaga inspired Drag performances.

Friday 29th July – Air Punch Pride Special at the Oh Yeah Music Centre

Air Punch, Belfast's only power ballad club night returns on Friday for a Pride special in the Oh Yeah Music Centre.

Friday 29th July – Hype Pride Party at BOOMBOX

Kick off your Pride weekend with anthems & floor fillers.

Friday 29th July – Illusion at Kremlin

Illusion with the one and only Trudy Scrumptious.

Friday 29th July – F-Yeah! It’s Pride! At The Maverick

Rusty Hinges and guests begin our Pride weekend festivities with drag cabaret and carry on.

Saturday 30th July – Belfast Pride Parade, Belfast City Centre

'Community – United in Diversity- is the theme for Belfast Pride this year. Join the party atmosphere at the pre-parade build-up from 11.30am before the parade sets off at 1pm sharp.

Saturday 30th July – Féile Rocks Pride, Belfast City Hall

The annual Féile concert on the grounds of Belfast City Hall is back with a bang and will be taking place in conjunction with Belfast Pride Day.
The concert will feature a wide range of music from the best of young emerging and established artists from across the city and beyond.

Saturday 30th July – Pugs Pride at Pug Ugly’s

Head to Pug Uglys on Saturday 30th for fantastic live local music, cocktails, food & more!

Saturday 30th July – The Official Pride Breakfast at The Northern Whig

There's no better way to start the day that with a spot of breakfast in the heart of the city at The Northern Whig. Money collected from their special breakfast will be donated to Belfast Pride. Book early to secure a table, call 028 9050 9888.

Saturday 30th July – Belfast Pride Village at Donegall Quay

Just beside the 'Big Fish' you'll find a Pride themed marketplace with Community and Family spaces, live music and entertainment. Open from 12pm and after the parade.

Saturday 30th July – Belfast Pride’s Party in the Square at Custom House Square

Your Pride experience wouldn't be complete without a visit to the main square! The main stage features a host of LGBTQ+ and local entertainment starting as soon as the parade gets back to the square. It's unique atmosphere make this the ultimate party destination.

Saturday 30th July – Rainbow Quarter Pride Street Party on Union Street

Nadine Coyle will headline the Rainbow Quarter Belfast Pride Street Party, hosted by Dean McCullough.

Saturday 30th July – Taboo’s Pride Party at The Telegraph Building

This is the official after party for Belfast Pride!
