Popular quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? has been back on our TV screens over the past week, with new host Jeremy Clarkson. But as the final episode of the current series aired last night, one contestant lost a MASSIVE amount of money due to an error by the audience.

If you are a fan of the show you will know that each contestant is given four lifelines before they start - 'Phone a friend', '50/50', 'Ask the host', and 'Ask the audience', with most contestants using them wisely throughout.

So when Oli from Canterbury was sitting with a cool £125,000, it looked like he could go all the way... that was until one question stumped him.

After Jeremy Clarkson asked the question, "3 May. Bistritz. Left Munich at 8:35PM are the opening words to which novel?"... Oli admitted he'd never read any of the novels and decided to use his 'Ask the audience' lifeline in an attempt to get him through to the £250,000 question.

With the four options being, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Dracula, Heart of Darkness or Frankenstein, Oli was relived to see that a massive 81% of the audience voted for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

However, what happened next left viewers cringing behind their cushions!

Despite being given the option to walk away with his £125,000, Oli decided to put his faith in the audience and gave Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy as his final answer.

After a tense few moments, host Jeremy Clarkson said, "It's the wrong answer. What an absolute nightmare, it's Dracula."

😱😱😱

It wasn't all bad news for Oli, he did still take home £32,000.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire with Jeremy Clarkson will return to ITV in March 2019.
