Channel 4 confirm start date for The Great British Bake Off

With Summer more or less out of the way, TV fans are gearing up for some cosy Autumn nights in front of the box, with shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother and The Great British Bake Off all due to begin in the coming weeks.
After announcing This Morning's Alison Hammond would replace Matt Lucas in hosting the show, Channel 4 bosses have now revealed the start date and the cast for the upcoming series of Bake Off!
When does Bake Off start?
The brand new series of Bake Off begins on Tuesday 26th September at 8pm.
Bosses shared the news on Wednesday 13th, saying: 'Bake a date in your diaries.
'Join Paul, Prue, Noel and Alison on Tuesday 26th September at 8pm for the return of The Great British Bake Off. #GBBO'. (sic)
Following the news that Matt Lucas has decided to quit his hosting role on the show after three series, bosses confirmed 48-year-old Alison Hammond would replace him.
Hosting alongside Noel Fielding, Alison said at the time: 'It’s OFFICIAL!!! It’s happening The Great British Bake off! Let’s have it! The cake that is 😂#GBBO 2023 @britishbakeoff @noel_fielding @prueleith @channel4 @paul.hollywood'. (sic)
