Next month some brand new celebrity special episodes of The Crystal Maze will be aired and it has now been confirmed who will be taking part. Once again presented by Richard Ayoade, The Crystal Maze will see reality TV stars from Made In Chelsea and Geordie Shore, to sports stars from the Paralympics and football joining the line-up.
Earlier today Channel 4 confirmed that one of the new episodes will include a Derry Girls special, with a team made up of cast members Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Dylan Llewellyn and their team captain Saoirse-Monica Jackson upping the 1990s nostalgia.
There will also be a second team captained by tennis ambassador Judy Murray, including David Weir, former footballer Wayne Bridge, Countdown’s Rachel Riley and reality star Charlotte Crosby.
Another former footballer, Dennis Wise, has also been chosen to captain a third team, which includes Katie Price, Happy Mondays’s Bez, radio presenter Roman Kemp and Made in Chelsea’s Binky Felstead.
Also, taking a team into the iconic Crystal Maze will be double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, who will be joined by MC Big Narstie, actress Jorgie Porter, internet superstar Alfie Deyes and long jumper Greg Rutherford.
Meanwhile the last celebrity team to be announced will consist of comedian Joe Wilkinson, Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya, TV presenter Kate Garraway and former Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts, who will be captained by TV host Richard Madeley.
Now take a look at the original names for some of our favourite TV shows.

Last year a Crystal Maze: Celebrity Christmas Special episode saw The Saturdays singer and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Mollie King take on the challenge, alongside professional boxer Nicola Adams, comedian Tom Davis and Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke, captained by swimming champion Ellie Simmonds.
Just as in the original TV show from the 90s, the team were lead through four themed zones, The Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Futuristic, on their hunt for crystals. The team had to tackle different puzzles along the way, ranging from physical to mental and skill and mystery.
Although the exact date for The Crystal Maze celebrity special has yet to be announced it will begin in June on Channel 4.
