Fans convinced Molly and Callum 'faked' their split for Love Island: All Stars

They've both entered as bombshells

We may only be two episodes in to the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars, but already there's been enough drama to set the Internet alight! As well as exes Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole being paired together, one of the biggest shocks in the show's history occurred during the launch show, when former couple Molly Smith and Callum Jones both entered as bombshells.

The pair, who quietly split back in 2023, confirmed to their fellow Islanders that they'd parted ways six months ago after 'clashing', ending their three-year relationship on mutual terms.

HOWEVER, after Callum made the decision to couple up with his ex instead of stealing one of the other girls, many fans are now suspicious of the pair, with a LOT of people accusing them of 'faking' their break-up.

After watching Tuesday night's (16th January) episode, one wrote: 'I love how Callum and Molly conveniently broke up about 5 months ago (after being together over 3yrs) just to end up on Love Island All Stars 👀 You could have had your conversations back in Manchester'. (sic)

Another commented: 'Sorry but they clearly actually never split, some people will do anything for money', with a third writing: 'This one was 100% staged'. (sic)

Another suspicious viewer said: 'Them coupling up confirms that they faked they brake up... they surely knew 6 months ago they will go on love island..and seemed like a good opportunity and to make "drama" and that we all think how love wins 🙄🙄'. (sic)

Somebody else commented: 'I sense they sniffing out 50k.... Scripted'. (sic)

When did Molly and Callum split?

After meeting during Casa Amor on the first ever Winter series of Love Island back in 2020, Molly and Callum immediately hit it off, going on to move in together in Manchester and get two dogs.

Despite seeming incredibly loved-up on social media, reports first surfaced that they'd split in September 2023, with a source telling the media that Callum had moved out of their rented apartment, taking one of the dogs.

Just a year prior to their break-up Callum spoke to Mail Online where he discussed future marriage and family plans with Molly. He said at the time: "We are perfect. We've got two dogs, so we've got a proper little family going, it's lovely.

"There are other things we want to focus on at the minute but obviously in the future it's definitely something we both want together... We've just not really decided when.

"We're just enjoying things that we've got at the minute and then family and marriage will eventually come into it."

Neither Callum or Molly publicly announced their split, and the pair do still have loved-up photos with each other on their Instagram pages.

Despite Callum choosing to couple up with Molly on the show, the pair have both told their fellow Islanders that they are happy to get to know other people, with Molly choosing to take part in a three-way kiss with Chris Taylor and Luis Morrison during the first task.
