Joel Dommett confirms we'll recognise ALL of this series' Masked Singer contestants
There were a couple of lesser-known faces last time!
Whether you loved it, hated it, or loved to hate it, the whole country was swept up by the first UK series of The Masked Singer when it aired in January this year. Yep, it really was this year! Now that we know the show will be back on Boxing Day AND we've seen all the fantastic costumes, fans are getting even more excited for the show to drop just after Christmas.
Although there were a couple of lesser-known faces on the first series, the panel have now confirmed that certainly won't be the case this time around, revealing that we'll likely recognise all of the contestants underneath the masks!
Appearing on the Jonathan Ross Show tonight are Jonathan's fellow Masked Singer panelists Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, who has taken over from Ken Jeong, as well as host Joel Dommett.
After Joel admitted that he hadn't recognised Alan Johnson, who performed under the Pharaoh mask in Series 1, the group agreed that there's "no chance" of that happening this time, with Jonathan saying, "We know who it is, I don’t think it’ll be the case. There’s some real surprises in there."

Discussing their differing guessing techniques, Davina said, "You know what I’m like with my note taking... I am so forensic with clues, with peoples’ voices and the tone of things. Mo writes one name on a page and then just sits back!"
Mo said, "They’re really good, I think that’s what the hardest thing is. These people are amazing singers. Day 1, I was like, ‘I think I know who this person is.’ Then at home I was like, let me Google that person, see what they’re doing. You really want to know who it is."
Joel added, "It’s like a crossword puzzle. Sometimes you get a name in your head and then you cannot get that name out of your head, because you think it’s definitely that person."
The Masked Singer returns on Boxing Day on ITV.
