Love Island fans split over Maura's feelings for Curtis
Some think she's playing a game!
Irish beauty Maura Higgins has certainly caused some drama since she arrived as a bombshell into the Love Island villa. After initially setting her sights on Tommy Fury, Maura coupled up with Tom Walker (before dumping him), and then she returned to the villa following Casa Amor week with Marvin Brooks.
However, following THAT double dumping with Lucie Donlan, Maura has now expressed her feelings for newly-single Curtis Pritchard, leaving viewers shook.
After asking Curtis to teach her how to dance, the 28-year-old then revealed her feelings to him, saying, "I just wanted to be honest. I do have feelings for you. You're shocked aren't you? The guys that I was coupled up with it didn't work out for me. I wasn't sure if it was just them or the fact you were in here and I couldn't focus."
However, due to the fact she's never really spoken about Curtis in a romantic way before, some viewers have been left wondering if Maura is using the dancer as a route to get into the final.
Taking to social media, many have accused her of 'playing a game'.
One user wrote, 'Maura is so full of 💩 playing games she is #LoveIsland', with another adding, 'Am I the only person who thinks Maura is playing a massive game?'.
A third then wrote, 'I think Curtis & Maura would make a perfect couple. I think they both really love £50K & playing games #LoveIsland'. sic
Despite this, other viewers are more positive about the romance, with some thinking they spotted a telling sign that Maura does actually like Curtis.
One fan wrote, 'The fact that Maura got SO nervous to talk to Curtis when she’s usually so confident and forthright just Riga so genuine to me and I have so much respect for her waiting because Curtis was coupled up. I am living for a Curtis and Maura coupling!"
Another added, "I feel like Maura acc likes Curtis for her to be nervous and fumbling like this. This is the same girl that patterned Tom like it was nothing.' sic
A third wrote, "Am i the ONLY one who thinks Maura and Curtis look SO CUTE???.' sic
Of course, Curtis did admit he doesn't want to rub anything into Amy's face, after ending things by telling he couldn't picture himself marrying her, but we can't wait to see if anything happens between the pair.
