Release date confirmed for Liar series 2
It's coming in March!
After it was announced last month that ITV's popular drama Liar would be returning in 2020, fans of the show have been holding out for more news, and now it's been revealed series two will return to our TV screens on Monday 2nd March!
ITV released a brand new trailer earlier this month, which appears to show main character Laura Nielson (Joanne Froggatt) being the prime suspect for the brutal murder of rapist Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd).
The one minute clip shows Laura pleading her innocence to new character, Detective Inspector Karen Renton, played by former Coronation Street actress Katherine Kelly.
She says, "I wanted Andrew to suffer. It's all I could think about, and when I found out he was dead I was relieved that he couldn't hurt anyone else the way he hurt me, the way he hurt so many people, ruined so many lives."
Later in the short trailer, Laura adds, "I don't know who killed Andrew Earlham, but I'm not taking the fall for it. He's not going to ruin my life all over again.
"I did not murder Andrew Earlham!"

Of course, if you cast your minds back to series one way back in 2017, the thrilling drama ended with Andrew's body floating in a lake with his throat cut open, just as Laura had found evidence to expose him.
And it looks like Laura isn't the only suspect in Andrew's murder, as the initial trailer released back in January showing a video reel of potential suspects.
