There's been a quite frankly bizarre rumour flying around that 29-year-old Love Island contestant Laura Anderson has been lying about her age. It started after some rather mean viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts that she looked slightly older than 29.

Then, some slightly more realistic evidence came to light after a photo was uncovered from Laura's Instagram that appeared to show her celebrating her 30th birthday in 2016 - which would have made her now 32.

However - it's now come to light that she's telling the truth about her age after a very observant fan zoomed into the photo.

It turns out that the 30th birthday balloon was for Laura's ex-boyfriend Welsh rugby player Mike Poole, who has the exact same birthday as Laura, funnily enough - 23rd April.

If you look closely on the image, you can see that there are also "27" candles on the cake - meaning that they would have been celebrating both birthdays on the trip.

Not only that, but some Love Island fans have taken internet stalking to the next level, and found Laura's LinkedIn profile which states that she attended high school between 2001 and 2005.

But the biggest clue yet is that MailOnline have actually gotten a hold of Laura's birth certificate, which of course also proves that she was born in 1989.

Aside from all that drama, it's also been revealed that Laura once dated Dancing On Ice 2018 finalist Max Evans - and that he dumped her for his now ex-wife, Katy Johnson.
