Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has been taken to hospital after falling ill overnight in the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here castle.

Richard, who took part in yesterday's tough trial 'Castle Kitchen Nightmares', was reportedly taken out of the camp and sent to A&E with a 'sudden illness'.

An ITV spokesperson told the Mirror: "Richard was unwell in the early hours and was immediately seen by our on-site medical team. He's since been taken to hospital as a precaution, the health and safety of our campmates is our priority."

The news arrives just hours after Richard took part in the latest Bushtucker Trial, which saw the 65-year-old attempt to search for hidden stars in a kitchen full of critters, fish guts, offal and rotten veg.

After Richard only found four out of the ten stars, viewers of the popular show were quick to slam bosses for making the trial 'too difficult'.

We wish Richard a speedy recovery and hope he can return to the camp.
