The week begins with Diane discovering that Harry's body is ready to be released. Marnie Nightingale supports Diane with organising Harry's funeral but they're both stunned when Tony's dad Edward arrives in the village. Diane is quick to send him packing.

Finn grows suspicious of Edward, especially when he returns to the village the next day. Edward reveals that he just wants to help while Tony is missing and begs his daughter-in-law to give him a chance…

Over at The Dog and Marnie and Cindy organise the funeral but when Edward rocks up they're both left smitten with him. As Cindy continues to be tormented by the rare birds in the village stopping the builders from working on her new business venture she confides in Edward.

Cindy manages to convince Diane to hear Edward out… Later on, Finn eagerly watches Edward but the newbie remains unbothered. When Diane admits she wants time to be herself again he decides to help out by inviting Nancy, Mandy, Darren and Cindy around so they can have an adults night in.

Everyone is impressed with Edward's intellect and the fact that he can speak lots of different languages but when Luke arrives the two men instantly clash.

Back at home, Darren decides to surprise Mandy by trying to live up to Edward's standards – how will she react?

Edward continues to help Diane out and she's relieved. While Tony's dad is winning her over, he continues to undermine Finn.

Diane is worried when she spots Jack Osborne crying outside the hospital. Edwards decides to give him some good advice and it quickly becomes clear that he's making a good impression on everyone in the village.

Meanwhile in the village, Breda admits to Tony that she feels guilty about Diane's grief.

Tony has no sympathy for the serial killer. Elsewhere Breda receives a phone call from her daughter Goldie who is checking up on her.

Breda lies and tells Goldie that she's got a viewing at the farm… Joel Dexter tells his girlfriend to call the estate agent for an update and during the phone call they reveal that the farm isn't even on the market.

Following the phone call Goldie decides to investigate and find out what her mum is really up to… However Breda tells her daughter that the estate agent is lying.

Goldie no longer trusts what her mum is saying and books her in for an appointment with a psychiatrist. Tony reveals he thinks she should go to the appointment but she realises he just wants her to reveal her killer secret.

Breda arrives at the appointment to keep her family on side but things take a turn for the worse when she's hostile with the doctor. As her anger builds she ends up revealing too much…

The psychiatrist begins to grow concerned with Breda but the serial killer storms out. Over at The Dog, Breda packs her bag full of food for Tony but Sylver McQueen, Goldie and Jack stop her before she can leave.

Breda is unable to go to the pig farm with her family on her back and it's safe to say that a hungry Tony is suffering.

Goldie secretly buys a tracking device for her mum so they can all keep an eye on Breda's whereabouts. Goldie then decides to follow her mum to the pig farm leaving Breda worries and Tony hopeful.

Luke tries to convince Ollie that he's making the wrong decision about giving his unborn baby up for adoption. Elsewhere Brooke and Nancy feel calm about the adoption meeting.

The Osborne family begin to worry about the outcome of the meeting when Luke turns up… Cindy gives Luke some advice and tells him in order to win his son's respect he needs to avoid any baby talk.

Luke decides to meet up with Ollie and avoids discussing his unborn baby and instead suggest they go into the restaurant business together.

Later on Cindy introduces Tom Cunningham to her new builder Woody but it quickly dawns on the teenager that she's only hired him because he's fit.

Charlie Dean manages to find an entrance to the underground tunnels and is excited to investigate. However he then overhears Cindy telling Woody that she wants to skip the rules and regulation and start building. Will Cindy manage to convince Woody?

Tom discovers that Cindy has already paid the builder £30,000 and after Charlie confides in him about overhearing their conversation it doesn't take Tom to reveal that Cindy bribed Woody and plans to start building without the councils permission.

Before any of the above happens, here's all the drama to expect in Hollyoaks this week...

James Nightingale has been struggling following all the drama with Harry Thompson but things took a turn for the when he discovered his ex-boyfriend was dead. He then took his anger out on his family and it resulted in Romeo Quinn moving out and next week he turns on Juliet Quinn too.
