It's not good news for GC fans

The queen of reality TV AKA Gemma Collins AKA The GC has been rumoured to be taking part in the upcoming celebrity version of The X Factor since it was first announced months ago. With her love of taking part in seemingly any and all reality TV shows - along with her ambition of breaking into the music scene - it seemed a dead cert that she'd be on the show.

Especially after she revealed that she wants her music career to be as big as Lady Gaga's, saying, "I would like to be as big as Lady Gaga, that’s the next ambition. But my first ambition is to continue to be happy first and foremost."

But devastatingly, Gemma has revealed that she simply doesn't have time to take part in the series, telling new! magazine, "They did ask me, but I’m not doing it. I’ve got so many other big TV projects in the pipeline.

"I’ll never forget where I started out but I’ve been offered some great work recently it’s exciting."

Whilst we're desperate to know what this exciting new work that Gemma has got in the pipeline could be, this doesn't change the fact that Celebrity X Factor simply won't be the same without the GC. But could this just be a ploy to make it more dramatic if she DOES turn up after all?

Gemma was rumoured to be joining the show last month, after a source told the Daily Star, "We want big and exciting stars and The GC is popular and we reckon she makes entertaining viewing. Simon has handled many divas over the years with the likes of Sharon Osbourne and Mel B, so we reckon he will be able to deal with this Essex one."

Let's also not forget Gemma's incredible performance of 'Big Spender' on All Together Now that literally blew everyone's socks off.
