Season two of The Traitors premiered on Wednesday night, with one contestant hailing from Northern Ireland.

Diane, a 63-year-old retired teacher, has everyone talking, as as she managed to detect a Traitor from the very beginning.

As well as being a first-class detective, Diane is also the mother of Northern Irish actor Kerr Logan.

Best known for his role as Matthos Seaworth on Game Of Thrones, he has also appeared in the likes of Alias Grace, Strike, Victoria and London Irish.

Logan was born in Bangor and lived in the Co Down seaside town with his family before moving to Lancashire when he was 12.

In a recent post on X Logan shared his delight at his mother’s new detective role.

It reads: “My mother is on The Traitors. My mother is on The Traitors. My mother is on The Traitors. She’s bonkers. I’m scared.”

After noticing the fan reaction to his mother during the first episode on Wednesday night, Logan tweeted: “My mother is trending on twitter….. one of the more surreal nights of my life……”

Ahead of the show Diane told the BBC that she applied for The Traitors to prove her kids wrong after they “said I could never do something like this”.

She explained: “We started watching series one together and l just loved the idea of the challenge. I thought it would be great to have a go and see if I could do it."
