Foy Vance and Ryan McMullan guest star in Derry Girls
Did you recognise the band? 👇
The penultimate episode of Derry Girls on Tuesday night took a trip down memory lane with Ma Mary and Aunt Sarah.
A high school reunion at Our Lady Immaculate College, brought the mammies back together again for more mischief.
The reaction online after the show was hilarious, one fan wrote: "This throw back episode from #DerryGirls should be its own show. A spin-off maybe - Derry Mas”
Nothing screams the 70s more than a disco right? Well the show’s creator Lisa McGee had a genius idea to collab with some of Northern Ireland’s biggest names in music for a special guest appearance.
Did you recognise the rock band on stage?
Behind the shaggy long hair and aviator sunglasses was in fact Foy Vance and Ryan McMullan.
Both Foy and Ryan shared some behind the scenes snaps from set on social media after the show.
Foy wrote: “My new band is gonna be AWESOME. Hope you had a chance to catch them on tonight’s episode of Derry Girls 👀”
Ryan added: “When Foy asked me to be in his band for a tv thing, I did not know what I was getting myself into 😂 did anyone recognise the band on #derrygirls tonight? If you haven’t seen it, I promise it’s worth watching!”
Lisa didn't stop there, Lisa also revealed that her husband Tobias Beer made a surprise appearance in the episode.
She shared a snap of Toby from the episode dancing with Janet at the disco.
Lisa captioned the snap saying: "Yes this is my husband #DerryGirls."
What do we know about the final episode of Derry Girls?
Derry Girls concludes next week with season 3 ending on Tuesday, and an hour-long finale episode on Wednesday.
Channel 4 have shared a teaser trailer for the next installment, which features Peaky Blinders star Emmett Scanlan.
