Emmerdale spoilers: Lydia Hart receives devastating diagnosis
She's been facing her past
After finally reaching out to her long lost sister, Lydia Hart is shocked in Emmerdale when Mandy Dingle delivers her mother, Agatha – who Lydia had been told was dead.
But her astonishment soon turns to fear when Agatha has some potentially devastating news for Lydia – that Lydia's father had died from Huntington's disease, and there's a good chance that Lydia could be affected in the future. With the support of Mandy, Sam and Samson Dingle, Lydia must decided whether to take the Huntington's test herself.
Elsewhere, David Metcalfe and Leyla Harding are concerned to learn that Maya Stepney will soon be released from prison – but Jacob Gallagher seems undeterred.
An encounter with Leanna Cavanagh ends up going all the way, but when Jacob leaves with no explanation, Leanna is left hurt – but it's nothing compared to her dad Liam's reaction.
Chas Dingle does not take kindly to Paddy Kirk setting up a new mums club at the Woolpack, and Noah Tate is horrified by Sarah Sugden's antics at a party.

Following Lydia's strange encounter with her estranged sister, Beth, Mandy is determined to have Beth explain herself and is soon meddling in their family business.
When Mandy barges her way into Beth's house, she's shocked to find Lydia's mum, Agatha, who they'd been told was dead.
When Agatha asks Mandy to take her to see Lydia, Mandy wonders if she's done the right thing but things go downhill when Agatha shares some news with Lydia.
Later on, Lydia sits her family down to explain that Agatha has told her that her father died of Huntington's disease – a genetic condition, meaning Lydia is likely to carry the gene too.
Having confronted her past, Agatha says she's never stopped thinking of Lydia, and promises to do all she can to build bridges with her daughter.
But back at home, Lydia is tense as she discusses with Samson whether or not to take the Huntington's test.
Meanwhile, David and Leyla panic when they hear that Maya is being released from prison, worried that she'll contact Jacob and ruin his progress.
After a long chat, David and Leyla decide they will tell Jacob about Maya's release – and are relieved when Jacob seems non-plussed at the news.
Later on, a supportive Leanna promises to be there for Jacob and as they talk, chemistry fizzles and Leanna leans in for a kiss.
One thing leads to another, but after they sleep together Leanna is left hurt when Jacob leaves abruptly with no way of an explanation.
Back at home, a wounded Leanna confides in Bernice about what happened with Jacob, but Bernice is conflicted when Leanna asks her not to tell her dad...
However, when Leanna is struck by a bout of vomiting after taking the morning after pill, Bernice relents and tells Liam everything.
A furious Liam storms round to David's and accuses Jacob of forcing Leanna to sleep with him. Later on, Liam is arrested on suspicion of assault.
Elsewhere in the village, a downcast Chas is struggling to bond with baby Eve as the infant refuses to breastfeed.
But Chas is less than pleased when Paddy organises a 'new mums' group meeting at the Woolpack, to help Chas with the trouble she's having.
At a party, Noah is horrified when Sarah swallows a pill that Danny and Jayden have given to her.
Rhona's concerned to hear Graham tried speaking with Marlon about him seeing Leo.
Now let's recap on what's happening this week on Emmerdale...
