Emmerdale spoilers: Harriet Finch despairs as church is ROBBED

It's safe to say it's not been a good start to 2020

There's yet more turmoil in Emmerdale as Harriet Finch learns that the church could be under threat from the new Bishop.

The following day Harriet finds that church has been robbed and she's appalled when it dawns on her that Will Taylor may be at the bottom of it.

Elsewhere, Dawn Taylor is buoyed by a successful supervised visit with her son Lucas, and vows to try for custody again. But when she finds out what's been happening at the church, she begs Harriet not to report Will and potentially ruin her chances with Lucas.

Also in Emmerdale, Moira Barton reaches new lows when Matty Barton declares he's moving out and Moira turns to booze to numb the pain.

Sarah Sugden faces fresh pressures as her new friend Danny asks her to deal drugs for him, and Jacob Gallagher is hurt to find out about Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh's kiss.

Harriet has been feeling uneasy since meeting the new bishop and confides in Will that she thinks she might be closing the church.

The next day, Harriet is gobsmacked when she discovers the church has been robbed and when Nicola discovered an enormous donation in her collection box the penny drops for Harriet.

Later on, Harriet is shocked to find her own bible for sale at the car boot. When the police arrive at the church to question Harriet and Will about the robbery, can she ignore the fact that Will may have been involved?

Meanwhile, back at the house, a social worker arrives with Lucas for him to have a supervised visit with his mum, and Dawn is thrilled when Lucas seems happy to see her.

After their visit, Dawn is buoyed by Lucas' good mood and vowes to get him back. But when she catches Harriet and Will arguing about the robbery, her heart sinks.

Dawn begs Harriet not to report Will to police and damage her chances of getting custody of Lucas, but Harriet is torn.

Elsewhere, Sarah's friendship with new boy at school Danny is progressing, and soon he has a favour to ask her which could land her in A LOT of trouble.

When Danny claims that the older boys who've asked him to hold the drugs for them has beaten him up, gullible Sarah believes him hook, line, and sinker.

But even she is shocked when he tells her that the boys have now asked him to deal for them as payment for the pills he lost – and he asks her to help.

Matty still hasn't forgiven his mum for her affair and tells a heartbroken Moira that he's moving out and needs time if they want to repair their relationship.

The next day, Matty is told by Pete and Nate that someone has dumped a huge amount of herbicides onto the fields, and Matty can't help but think Moira could be behind it.

The next day, Pete arrives at Butler's Farm to find Moira face down sleeping off a monster hangover, telling her sternly that it's time to sort herself.

After he leaves, Moira sinks even lower into her despair and before long she's out in the cold having passed out in a ditch. Who will find her?

Elsewhere, Diane arrives home from Portugal with some bad news for Bernice and Liam. But that isn't all...

When Jacob finds out about Liam and Leyla's kiss, he's hurt that his mum could be so flippant at a time like this.

Meanwhile, with Marlon still ignoring Rhona, Charity is appalled when she learns that Graham has taken Noah to hospital without consulting her but Graham insists she should be grateful to him.

Christmas and New Year in Emmerdale are set to be as dramatic as they come as Graham Foster's explosive paternity storyline reaches its climax.

As Kim, Jamie, Andrea and Millie Tate sit down to their first family Christmas together, is it really goodwill to all men at Home Farm?

And Kim's isn't the only Christmas that Graham sets out to ruin. With Rhona Goskirk quitting her job at the vet's, a panicked Marlon Dingle wonders how he'll stop her leaving for good – and taking Leo.

Elsewhere, David Metcalfe and Jacob Gallagher are in for the shock of their lives when a baby is left on the doorstep with a note from Maya Stepney.

As the New Year is rung in across the village, Victoria Sugden's waters break as she walks home alone and her labour begins in the street.

When her baby boy finally arrives, Victoria worries she'll struggle to love him, given the circumstances under which he was conceived.

Also Aaron Dingle is concerned about how he'll respond to the baby because he reached rock bottom following Robert Sugden's arrest.

David and Jacob nervously await the results of paternity test and Harriet Finch is suspicious of the new Bishop.
