EastEnders spoilers: Has Mitch Baker rumbled Gray Atkins?

As new information surrounding Chantelle Atkins' death comes to light

EastEnders bosses recently confirmed that Chantelle Atkins would be killed as her domestic abuse relationship intensifies and next week the residents hear the devastating news.

It all begins when Karen Taylor, Mitch Baker and the rest of the family return from Southend but they’re greeted with the horrific news that Chantelle has died.

They (and the rest of the Square) are unaware that it was Gray who killed her. However, when Mitch realises something is not right between Gray and Kheerat Panesar he begins to put the pieces together and starts to suspect his son-in-law…

At the end of the week, the police have some new information – but what is it?

Elsewhere, Stacey Fowler FINALLY returns to the Square but her estranged husband Martin Fowler is not impressed. Stacey also worries if her mum Jean Slater will ever forgive her.

Phil Mitchell confronts Callum Highway about the latest drama surrounding Ben Mitchell, Sharon discovers that Ian Beale owes Max Branning money, and Denise Fox discovers Amy Mitchell has a crush on Isaac Baptiste.

EastEnders spoilers: Monday 21 – Friday 25 September 2020:

The week begins with Gray being questioned by police at the station.

Elsewhere the Baker/Taylor family return from Southend and discover there's been a tragedy.

However, when Mitch realises something is not right between Kheerat and Gray, he meets up with his neighbour. He spots Chantelle's memory box and demands to know why Kheerat has it.

Kheerat is quick to explain everything Chantelle asked from him and how she was trying to leave Gray.

He struggles to divulge his feelings for her and it's not long before Suki Panesar interrupts them with a glare – making it clear that Kheerat should say no more.

The next day Kheerat tells Mitch that Chantelle wasn't happy with Gray throughout lockdown.

Kheerat then theorises that Gray had a row with Chantelle and she got fatally hurt.

An angry and frustrated Mitch then tells Karen Kheerat's theory – what will she say?

At the end of the week, Gray gets a visit from the police – they've got some new information.

Elswhere, Ruby Allen's money woes continue and after arguing with the bank about some hefty transfers, she finally tells Martin that someone is pretending to be her.

Meanwhile a car pulls in – Stacey is back. She later meets with Martin but he's not pleased to see her.

Stacey makes it clear that she's not planning on staying in Walford long…

Ruby then pays her a visit and tells her that she has to stay in Albert Square so Martin can see the kids.

Later, Stacey tells Kat Moon she's worried Jean will never forgive her for leaving as she was battling cancer and lost Daniel.

Ruby asks Martin is he still has feelings for Stacey but he reassures her nothing has changed. Following a heated chat with Stacey, Martin insists on going away with Ruby for a short break.

Callum's woes about Thompson's offer continue as he overhears Phil and Ritchie discussing Ben… Later, Phil confronts Callum and asks if he knew about his son's plan.

At the police station while Ben is being questioned, they tell him his story can't be verified and he'd be let off if he can come up with a convincing story.

Sharon complains to Linda Carter about Ian's constant hassling and Linda suggests that she call his bluff, pack her bags and watch Ian crumble. However when Sharon goes through with her plan it backfires…

Ian continues to avoid Max and blames the bank for the delay on giving him his money back… Later when Linda discovers that Max signed over his half of the restaurant to Ian, she's quick to tell Sharon.

Ian then tells Sharon he has a plan to pay Max back and that he's sorry for taking his financial issues out on her.

Denise discovers that Amy has a crush on Isaac and tells him he can't tutor the teen anymore – even though Isaac needs the cash.

Amy finds a way to see Isaac on the way to school but he tells Denise not to worry, he'll stop tutoring her.

Isaac then spots a small bag of weed on the floor as Denise looks on shocked… he says he'll hand it in on his way home from work and pockets it as Amy watches.

Amy refuses to go to school and later reveals that she saw Issac smoking weed – leaving Denise and Jack shocked. Isaac can't believe it – adamant that Amy is lying because she fancies him but Jack doesn't believe him.

Chantelle Atkins tells her abusive husband Gray Atkins that she's leaving him but he doesn't give up without a fight and it ends with tragic consequences...

Meanwhile on the Square, Max Branning and Rainie Branning's divorce finally goes through and he tells Ian Beale he wants his money back - unaware that he's used it all.

Tina Carter struggles to figure out if her new colleague Frankie is flirting with her but later on they begin to bond. However Tina is unaware of Frankie's hidden motive...

Ben Mitchell and Jay Brown plan on setting up Danny - but will they succeed?

Elsewhere, Ruby Allen thinks she's ruined everything and it's Stuart Highway and Rainie's joint hen and stag do.
