EastEnders spoilers: Chantelle Atkins' escape ends with tragic consequences

Coming up in EastEnders Chantelle Atkins finally tells her abusive husband Gray Atkins that she's leaving him but he doesn't give up without a fight and it ends with tragic consequences...

Meanwhile on the Square, Max Branning and Rainie Branning's divorce finally goes through and he tells Ian Beale he wants his money back - unaware that he's used it all.

Tina Carter struggles to figure out if Frankie is flirting with her but later on they begin to bond. However Tina is unaware of Frankie's hidden motive.

Ben Mitchell and Jay Brown plan on setting up Danny - but will they succeed?

Elsewhere Ruby Allen thinks she's ruined everything and it's Stuart Highway and Rainie's joint hen and stag do.

EastEnders spoilers: Monday 14 - Friday 18 September 2020

The week begins with Chantelle packing as much as she possible can for the 'family holiday'.

However she's interrupted when her family come knocking in holiday attire... She manages to convince Gray to let her go and lies that it was a last minute trip.

She later visits Kheerat Panesar and tells him she plans to never return to Walford... Meanwhile Gray's suspicions begin to grow.

Chantelle is left devastated when Gray reveals he's managed to convince her parents that the kids should stay at home with him...

At the family holiday, Chantelle feels desperate and goes to the local cafe but while she's there Mitch realises something is wrong.

He tries to get her to open up but she refuses and insists she just misses Mia and Mack. Desperate to fix things, Mitch returns to Walford - leaving Chantelle hopeful her plan is back on.

Chantelle heads out to get treats for the kids but when Mitch returns she's horrified to find he's not alone - Gray is there too.

At the seaside cafe, Chantelle is on the phone to Kheerat... Later Gray insists they return to Walford with the kids.

As the kids are already in the car, Chantelle has no other choice but to go home... But as they leave, Mitch detects a flicker of fear on Chantelle's face.

Back at home it's the final straw for Chantelle and she finds the courage to tell Gray she's leaving him.

However she's unaware that the horror she's secretly lived is about to get worse and results in tragic consequences for her.

Will anyone ever learn the truth about what went on behind closed doors at the Atkins home?

Max is buzzing that his divorce from Rainie has finally gone through and he thanks Ian by telling him to keep £2,000 but he wants the rest back ASAP.

Meanwhiel Ian tries to become the Chair of the Planning Committee and while Kathy Beale is concerned, he reassures his mum it's his only way out.

Kathy later slips that Ian doesn't need the stress of giving him back his money, which piques Max's interest.

Max then interrupts Ian's meeting and accuses him of stealing his money. And while Ian makes up excuses, Max makes it clear - he wants his money back.

Tina struggles to work out if Frankie is flirting, and later puts her foot in her mouth when discussing Frankie's deafness.

Tina tries to connect with her colleague but when she asks about a young boy on her camera roll, Frankie explains it's her little brother who died ten years ago.

Later, Frankie takes a shine to Ollie Carter in The Vic... The Carters are unaware that she's secretly taking photos of them.

Elsewhere Ben goes to Phil for advice about the Danny situation and later fills Jay in on his plan to set up Danny.

Ben and Callum get ready for Stuart's stag do and on there way there, Callum asks if the offer to move in together is still on the table - however their happy moment is short lived.

Later, Thompson questions Callum about his relationship with a Mitchell.

Finally, Stuart and Rainie are dressed up and excited about their stag and hen night but no one seems to be showing up.

Ruby opens up to Whitney Dean and admits she thinks she's ruined everything.

It's the day of Ben Mitchell's cochlear implant but Callum Highway's mind is preoccupied at work, Ruby Allen battles with the bank over fraudulent charges but decides to keep it a secret from Martin Fowler and Linda Carter and Mick Carter are job hunting.

And Habiba Ahmed and Jags Panesar are still secretly dating but when he admits he wants to tell his mum that they're together, she refuses - leaving him upset.
