Local fans of The Traitors were left heartbroken this week as Bangor teacher Diane was 'murdered' on the hit BBC show.

No one was more devastated than Alliance party councillor David Rossiter, who joked that a street in Diane's hometown of Bangor should be renamed in her honour.

A post on X reads: :"Wait is Diane from The Traitors originally from Bangor?!

"If so then myself and my fellow Cllrs may need to rename Bangor's Queens Parade after her 👸🍷"

Diane was one of the most popular cast-mates, well-loved for her quick one-liners, fast detective skills and the dramatic plot twist involving her sons.

Diane surprised one her sons by not telling him she was taking part in the show, that son is in fact Kerr Logan.

Best known for his role as Matthos Seaworth on Game Of Thrones, he has also appeared in the likes of Alias Grace, Strike, Victoria and London Irish.

Diane's other son was revealed to be Ross - a fellow Traitors faithful in the show!

Following her dramatic exit, Diane was surprised to find out who the Traitors actually were. A video clip has now gone viral for her reaction 👇
