With the cracks starting to show in Yasmeen Nazir and Geoff Metcalfe's relationship on Coronation Street, Cathy Matthews can't help but grow concerned for her friend.

When she confides in Brian Packham and he in turn reports back to Geoff, soon the whole of Weatherfield knows about Yasmeen's "drink problem" - even Peter Barlow comes by to offer his support in sobriety.

But is everything as it seems?

Elsewhere, the situation between Fiz Brown, Tyrone Dobbs and Hope and Ruby intensifies as social services tell Tyrone the girls are allowed back home – providing Fiz is no longer living there.

As Fiz glumly moves into a B&B while the investigations are ongoing, Tyrone tries to coax the truth out of Hope.

Meanwhile, Roy Cropper wants to build a relationship with his late brother's daughter, Nina, but she seems reluctant to let him in. But when Roy finds out she's being targeted by bullies, will he step in?

Bernie Winters plots revenge against Kel for what he did to Paul Foreman, while Steve MacDonald is willing to go to any lengths to save his marriage to Tracy Barlow.

Brave Fiz decides to go back to the police to tell the truth about the antique gun - well, half of it at least.

Not wanting to drop Gary's name in it, Fiz says that she bought the gun in a yard sale but didn't know it was real. When it went missing, she panicked.

Back at number 9, the social worker tells Tyrone that Ruby and Hope are free to return home – but that Fiz cannot live there while investigations are ongoing.

Later on while Tyrone helps Hope with her colouring, he tries to get her to open up about why she lied about Fiz and how she really hurt her arm – but Hope is uncooperative.

Things escalate when Fiz is set a court date, and Imran agrees to go with her for moral support.

At the hearing, Fiz pleads guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and receives a four month sentence, suspended for two years and a £500 fine.

After she's dismissed, Fiz is out and about when she's approached by Jade who tells her that though she never intended her to lose her kids, she's only got herself to blame. Fiz sees red, but Evelyn pulls her back.

Meanwhile, Geoff has drawn up a cleaning rota for Yasmeen and insists she gets started while he heads out. But when Cathy pops by and convinces Yasmeen to have lunch and a bottle of wine with her, Geoff is furious to return home to find Yasmeen tipsy and the house hasn't been cleaned.

Sensing awkwardness, Cathy takes her cue to leave, but forgets her bag and has to come back to get it, unbeknownst to Geoff.

As Geoff tears a strip off Yasmeen, Cathy listens and is shocked by the way he's speaking to her. Later on, Cathy confides in Brian about her concern for her friend.

Sharing in her concern, Brian arranges to meet Geoff for a pint at the Rovers, and asks him about what's going on between him and Yasmeen.

Thinking on his feet, Geoff tells a shocked Brian that Yasmeen's drinking is getting out of hand and that he's worried about her, and only wants to help.

Soon the news of Yasmeen's "drinking problem" has spread, and when a well meaning Peter stops by at number 11 offering support with sobriety, Yasmeen is devastated.

Elsewhere, Roy is determined to be a good uncle to Nina after her father's death – they are each others only family, after all. But when Roy calls by her flat he's upset to find the front door spattered with egg yolk.

Worried that Nina is being targeted, Roy asks her to move in with him, but Nina insists she wants to stay in the flat surrounded by the memory of her dad.

When Nina mentions that she's stressed at college because her sewing machine broke and now she can't finish her garment, Roy offers to drop round Hayley's old one.

Nina is touched when Roy shows up with the sewing machine and asks him to stay and be her model. As Roy tells Nina about Hayley and the difficulties she faced being transgender, Nina begins to warm to him.

But later on when Nina returns Hayley's machine to the cafe, Roy notices her hand is bandaged and Nina tells him the neighbour set their dog on her. Roy once again invites Nina to live with him, but she refuses.

After Tracy's one night stand, she confides in Liz that she's not even sure her and Steve's marriage is worth fighting to save.

But Steve clearly has other ideas – and turns up to the Rovers to get down on one knee and ask Tracy to marry him again. What will she say?

Horrified that Kel is still walking free after what he did to her son, Bernie tells Sean she's been posing as a 14 year old boy in order to get Kel to meet up with her.

Insisting she will expose him, Bernie shares her master plan with Sean, who isn't so convinced and tells Paul everything.

A horrified Paul worries about Bernie's safety and insists he go with her to meet Kel in the park.

But Kel quickly realises he's been set up and makes a run for it, trying to grab Bernie's phone in the process. Gemma and Paul give chase.

Now let's remind ourselves of what's happening this week.

Tyrone Dobbs and Fiz Brown are at the end of their tether with Hope Stape, but neither of them could dream things would get so out of control.

When social services arrive on their doorstep concerned that Hope's story, about how she broke her arm doesn't match theirs, they are gobsmacked to be told they're now under investigation, and that the girls will have to live somewhere else while it's ongoing.

Things go from bad to worse when a chance encounter with them leads to social services getting further involved and sending them away to live with Hope's half sister.

But who is it?

Elsewhere, things come crashing down for Tracy when Leanne finds out about her one-night-stand, and things get back to Steve. Is their marriage over?

Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter prepare for another shoot with the quads, but things don't go exactly as they'd like. When Chesney's new life as a tabloid star get in the way of him doing his job at Primer Donner, Dev Alahan gives him an ultimatum.

Meanwhile, Aggie's delight turns to fear when she's nominated for an award in the local paper, and Daniel is overwhelmed by his new role as single dad.
