Corrie's Sinead Tinker to die in 'heartbreaking' scenes after Katie McGlynn exit rumours
She's been on the show since 2013
Last updated 11th Jul 2019
Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn has been at the centre of exit rumours from the soap for a couple of months. Although official Corrie show bosses told us they wouldn't be commenting on speculation and Katie herself has not commented either way, it's now sounding more and more likely that Katie is, in fact, quitting the show.
Sinead, who is married to Daniel Osbourne, recently gave birth to the couple's baby Bertie, was given the all-clear by doctors regarding her recent cervical cancer diagnosis - but apparently, the storyline isn't finished and will reportedly play a part in Katie's exit.
Despite news from doctors in last night's episode that there was nothing to worry about, it's now being reporting that her prognosis will take a drastic turn for the worse, and will tragically be given a terminal diagnosis.
The horrific news will come with a decision for Sinead to make over whether she will choose to die at home or in a hospice.
According to the Mirror, a TV insider has said that Sinead has "been in some of Corrie’s most captivating storylines," adding that "producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap," but that her exit storyline will be an "unforgettable departure" which is set to "leave viewers in tears."
