Tried & tested hangover cures the people of Northern Ireland swear by
What's your ultimate hangover cure? 🤢
We are known across the world for our traditional lock-ins, high tolerance to alcohol and our great craic on a night out.
But what most people don't know, is that we all truthfully suffer the next day with either a blinding headache and dodgy tummy.
If lockdown has taught us anything, it's that none of really know how much is actually in a measure. We've spent months trapped inside, mixing our own drinks and experimenting with every weird and wacky concoction we could find.
What always starts out as bit of fun, can end up a nightmare the next day. You wake up with a super dry throat desperate for water, the room is spinning, and you can barely open your eyes.
Everyone seems to have their own special tradition they stick to, be that a banana before they go to bed or downing a pint of tap water.
Here are some classic hangover cures our local listeners have shared that will have you feeling better in no time.

Tayto Sandwich
If you know, you know! Fresh bread, proper butter, and Tayto Cheese & Onion. Anyone that suggests any other flavour is just wrong!
Deli Jambons
Found in bakeries, hot food deli's and petrol stations up and down the country, these greasy pastry puffs are as precious as gold on a Sunday morning! Don't even try ordering one, we all know it takes two for the effects to kick in 🤣
Raw Egg Trick
Yeah, this one still baffles us! In true 'Rocky' style this is not for the faint hearted, or weak stomached. The high levels of amino acids in eggs are believed to help break down the chemicals that alcohol leaves in your system.
Curry half and half
The champion of all takeaway dishes - curry sauce, crispy chips and yummy rice/noodles! You can't forget to order a can of Fanta Lemon/Coca-Cola too.
Chicken Fillet Roll
You just can't go wrong with a simple breaded chicken fillet roll, it might be over 1000 calories but who cares, it's SO good!
Belfast Bap
Get your mouths round this - a classic Belfast bap stuffed with sausage, bacon, potato bread, a fried egg and your preferred sauce of choice 🤯
A constant supply of tea
Hydration is key to riding out a hangover. All of the above work an absolute treat, as long as it's washed down by copious mugs of milky tea.
Duvet Day
If you're feeling particularly fragile, there's no point jumping in the shower and heading out the door. Pull on your loungewear, close the curtains and stick on Harry Potter, you'll thank us later!
