Over the weekend pop star Zayn Malik deleted everything from his Instagram account and uploaded just one short video, teasing something very exciting.

Posting a video with the caption, '04.12.18', assumed to be the American date format for the 12th April, the video starts with the singer on a jetty, looking out across the sea in a very sunny location.

The beautiful scene is then interrupted with the words, Power, Greed, Vengeance in red on a black background, before cutting to scene with a gang and the sound of a gun reloading.

Watch the short video below:

Last month, Zayn was spotted in Miami enjoying some sun and it is thought that he was also working on his new music and possibly filming some scenes for his new music video.

While in Miami Zayn was also spotted with a new hairstyle. Over the years Zayn has had a variety of different hairstyles, take a look at them below.

2010

Back in 2010 when ZAYN appeared on The X Factor, the singer had classic black hair in a simple style.

This latest video comes after months of unusual social media posts from the 'Pillowtalk' singer. Over recent months Zayn has posted a number of Zoems (Zayn Poems) and clips of him playing the guitar. In February he uploaded a massive 17 videos to Instagram in just three days, including some mash ups, covers and unknown songs - potentially from his new album.

While Zayn has yet to confirm what music will be on his new album, he told Fader last year, "I’ve kind of finalised it. But there’s always ideas. Every day I find another song that I’m swapping out with another one."

He went on to say, "Even though the album is pretty much there, and I have the material, I’m still changing things here and there."

And this latest social media activity is the clearest indication yet as to when we can expect to hear more from the 'Dusk Till Dawn' singer. However, at present we have yet to find out if it will be a new single, or album, or something else, on the 12th April.

It's been seven months since the former One Direction singer released a single, and two years since the release of his debut solo album, so fans have been eagerly awaiting his new music.

While we're waiting for Zayn's new music, you can still hear his collaboration with Sia, 'Dusk Till Dawn' throughout the week on Downtown Radio.
