Snow Patrol celebrate first UK No. 1 in 18 years with ‘The Forest Is The Path
CONGRATULATIONS 👏
Congratulations to Snow Patrol, who stormed their way to the top of the album charts this week with The Forest Is The Path, 18 years after their first.
Local lads Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid and Nathan Connolly have been busy working on The Forest Is The Path, an album rooted in reflection, introspection and interrogation.
Six more of their albums have reached the Top 3 in the UK album chart -
2003’s Final Straw (3)
2008 LP A Hundred Million Suns (2)
2009 compilation Up To Now (3)
2011’s Fallen Empires (3)
2018’s Wildness (2)
and 2019 release Reworked (3)
Celebrating their success, Snow Patrol told Cool FM and Downtown Radio: "We definitely didn’t think we’d have another number one in our career after such a long time since our last one.
"We are delighted of course. But it’s not like the last three albums that got to number two suffered because of it. But, I mean, let’s be completely honest, it feels bloody great to be number one like.”
