Robin Thicke’s global smash ‘Blurred Lines’ is the biggest selling single of 2013 so far, according to newly released figures.

Co-written by and featuring Pharrell Williams, the unstoppable ‘Blurred Lines’ has shifted a phenomenal 1.36million copies since it was released back in May.

Proving he is truly the man with the Midas touch, Pharrell’s collaboration with Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers, ‘Get Lucky’, is the year’s second best seller with sales of 1.24million to date.

Reflecting upon his 2.6million sales tally, Pharrell told the Official Charts Company: “I’m humbled by all of the love the UK fans have shown, but when you are working with incredible talent like The Robots and Robin, great things are bound to happen!"

Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up’ is 2013’s third biggest track having shifted 980,000 downloads to date.

When it passes the 1million sales barrier later this month, it will become only the 140th song in UK chart history to reach the impressive seven-digit landmark.

Passenger’s (aka Mike Rosenberg) ‘Let Her Go’ is currently at four with 910,000 sales to date and Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith’s ‘La La La’ is fifth with a tally of 887,000 sales.

With three months to go until the end of 2013, including the usually big-selling Christmas period, the list will undoubtedly change before the year’s out.
