‘Grateful’ is lifted from the soundtrack to Beyond The Lights

A song performed by Rita Ora has picked up a prestigious Oscar nomination!

Penned by song writing legend Diane Warren and performed by Rita, ‘Grateful’ is lifted from the soundtrack to the romantic drama Beyond the Lights.

The track will battle it out in the Best Original Song category against ‘Everything Is Awesome’ from The Lego Movie, ‘Glory’ from Selma, 'I’m Not Gonna Miss You' from Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me and ‘Lost Stars’ from Begin Again.

Rita will find out whether ‘Grateful’ has won at the 87th Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on 22nd February.

The full Oscars shortlist was revealed earlier this afternoon with Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel bagging the most nominations with nine nods each.

Telling the story of World War II codebreaker Alan Turing, The Imitation Game was close behind with eight nominations including Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch.
