The song was certified 4× Platinum in the UK and was a Number 1 single for Adele.

2) Little Mix - 'Black Magic' - 2015

Little Mix's 'Black Magic' went straight to Number 1 in the UK when it was released back in May 2015. The song was nominated at the 2016 BRIT Awards for British Single of the Year and Best British Video of the Year.

3) Justin Bieber - 'Baby' - 2009

A Top 3 single for Justin Bieber, 'Baby' was written by the singer along with Christina Milian and two others.

4) Taylor Swift - 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' - 2012

Co-written by Taylor Swift along with Max Martin and Shellback, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' was the lead single from Taylor's fourth album 'Red'.
In 2012 the single became the world's Fasted Selling Single in Digital History, and was also nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 2013.

5) The Killers - 'Mr Brightside' - 2003

The Killers' 'Mr Brightside' was originally released in 2003, but after only receiving minor success, it was re-released a year later, becoming very popular.

6) Ed Sheeran - 'Thinking Out Loud' - 2014

'Thinking Out Loud' features on Ed Sheeran's second album '×', released in 2014, and was the first single to spend a full year in the UK Top 40!

7) Cheryl - 'Fight For This Love' - 2009

'Fight For This Love' was Cheryl's debut solo single. After she performed it on The X Factor the song went to Number 1 and has since been certified 2x Platinum.

8) Rihanna - 'Umbrella' - 2007

Originally offered to Britney Spears, 'Umbrella' became a hit for Rihanna in 2007, when it spent 10 weeks at Number 1, in the year that the UK had an incredibly wet summer!

9) One Direction - 'Best Song Ever' - 2013

One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' went to Number 2 in the UK, and has sold over a million units to date.

10) Eminem - 'Stan' - 2002

Released way back in 2000, 'Stan' was nominated for a number of awards including Best Song at the MTV Europe Music Awards and Video of the Year, Best Rap Video, Best Direction, Best Cinematography at the MTV Video Music Awards.

11) Lady Gaga - 'Poker Face' - 2008

'Poker Face' was Lady Gaga's second ever single. The song saw huge success around the world, reaching Number 1 in most countries.

12) P!NK - 'Just Like A Pill' - 2001

Themed around painful relationships and drug abuse, P!NK once said when talking about the song, it's "part of who I am". It was a Number 1 single in the UK.

13) Justin Timberlake - 'Cry Me A River' - 2002

Inspired by his relationship with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River' was certified Platinum in the UK and reached Number 2.

14) Katy Perry - 'Firework' - 2010

'Firework' was a hit for Katy Perry back in 2010. The song was a huge success around the world being certified 2x Platinum in the UK and 11x Platinum in the US!

15) Beyoncé - 'Crazy In Love'

'Crazy In Love' was Beyoncé's first solo single after Destiny's Child, and featured Jay-Z. The massive hit was a Number 1 around the world, back in 2003.

16) Dua Lipa - 'New Rules' - 2017

'New Rules' was a female anthem when it was released in 2017, the single was Dua Lipa's first Number 1 single in the UK and was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Choreography at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.
