One Direction & Jessie J Star In The Beano

Olly Murs also gets cartoonified for the special edition

One Direction and Jessie J have all been transformed into cartoons for children’s comic The Beano.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Red Nose Day, a special edition version of the monthly BeanoMAX magazine is being released featuring cartoonified versions of famous faces alongside the comic’s stars.

Inside the mag, Jessie J performs an unlikely duet with Minnie The Minx and One Direction crash into Dennis The Menace’s house.

Other celebrities that appear in the edition include Olly Murs, former Doctor Who David Tennant and comedian Harry Hill who also guest edits it.

One Direction said: "We've grown up with the magazine so now to actually appear in it with Dennis and Gnasher themselves is incredible."

Mike Stirling, editor-in-chief of The Beano and BeanoMax, added: "It was brilliant fun imagining how Jessie, Olly, David and 1D would interact with our mischievous characters and I hope they enjoy the results as much our readers and their fans will." The Beano goes on sale from Wednesday 6th March.
