A joke about Miley Cyrus has been voted the best Christmas cracker joke of 2013.
TV channel Gold launched a competition to come up with the funniest (and possibly tackiest) Christmas cracker joke with the shortlist going to a public vote.
Over 2,000 people had their say after the judges unveiled the shortlist with Andrew Woolford’s Miley joke eventually triumphing.
It goes (drum roll please): "What does Miley Cyrus have at Christmas?! Twerky."
Enthusing about his win, Mr Woolford said: "I'm totally amazed and can't believe it! I now hope twerking becomes a new Christmas tradition - are you listening, Nan?"
In second spot was the side-splitting (ahem) joke: "Why did no-one bid for Rudolph and Blitzen on eBay? Because they were two deer."
Completing the top three was: "Mary and Joseph - now they had a stable relationship."
Another cracker reads: “Why don’t you ever see Santa in hospital? Because he has private elf care.”
The competition was instigated after a previous Gold poll found that 72% of the public think that Christmas cracker jokes are out-dated.
