What is Mabel doing now?
Mabel's been working on her upcoming third studio album - and has released four songs from it already! 'Chat', 'Look at My Body, Pt. II' featuring Shygirl, 'Female Intuition' and 'Stupid Dumb' featuring Ty Dolla $ign were released between May and October 2024.
Earlier in 2024, Mabel released her first new music since July 2022, putting out 'Zero' with Black Sherif on 9th February 2024 and then 'Vitamins'. This came a few weeks before her official return to music with a lengthy statement, where she explained she'd been focusing on her health and family.

When will Mabel's third album be released?
There's no word yet on a release date, although it's been rumoured to have been due in late 2024. No name has been announced yet either — but Mabel said in an interview with NME that the album will be a return to her "R&B roots".
Four tracks, including her recent collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign 'Stupid Dumb', have already been released from the album.
What is Mabel's real name?
Mabel's real name is Mabel! Her full name is Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey.
How old is she?
Mabel was born on 19th February 1996, making her 28-years-old at the time of writing.
Are her parents famous?
Yes, Mabel's parents ARE famous! Her mum is 80s pop star Neneh Cherry, who had a huge hit with 'Buffalo Stance', and her dad is Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, Mabel took to the red carpet with her mum, 30 years to the day that her mum won a BRIT Award for her debut album 'Raw Like Sushi'.
The singer's parents celebrated their 30th anniversary back in December 2020, with Mabel taking to Instagram to share a heartwarming throwback photo of her mum and dad! The singer also took to her Instagram to reveal it's more than just musical talent that she inherited from her mum, writing, 'We ❤️ mum. She gave us her creativity, pisces energy and her eyesight 🤓' (sic).
On 2nd March 2022, Mabel even presented her mum with the Icon Award at the BandLab NME Awards. A proud Mabel said: "I’m so blessed to have you as a mum, and you’ll always probably be that tiny bit cooler than me! You’re a role model to so many, and my biggest inspiration."
Sharing a snap of her and mer mum to Instagram, the 'Good Luck' singer wrote: 'Presented the @nmemagazine icon award to my truly iconic mama @nenehcherryofficial last night and it was a whole vibe 🏆❤️'.
Where is Mabel from?
Mabel is a citizen of three countries - the UK, Sweden and Spain. The singer was born in Spain, and her mum Neneh Cherry is Swedish, whilst her dad, Cameron McVey, is British.

'Don't Call Me Up'
'Don't Call Me Up' was Mabel's first song released from her debut album, 'High Expectations'. The song was a Top 5 hit for the singer and co-written by Mabel along with songwriters to the stars Kamille (Little Mix and Anne-Marie) and Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran and P!NK).
'Mad Love'
'Mad Love' was Mabel's second song from 'High Expectations', and released in June 2019. The song reached Number 7 in the UK and was also written by Camille Purcell and Steve Mac.
'Boyfriend'
Mabel released 'Boyfriend' in February 2020. The music video is set in a world where Mabel can choose her boyfriend through a computer programme. In the music video there are a number of possible boyfriends for the singer, including a Hot Boy, Bad Boy, Pretty Boy and Party Boy.
Collaboration with Clean Bandit: 'Tick Tock'
Mabel worked with Clean Bandit on their single 'Tick Tock', which also features US rapper 24kGoldn.

Which other artists has she collaborated with?
One of Mabel's breakout singles was 'Finders Keepers' in 2017, which she worked on with Kojo Funds. But Mabel's collaborations didn't stop there - with Mabel now having a rather impressive list of collabs under her belt!
Raye and Stefflon Don - 'Cigarette'
In 2018, Mabel teamed up with huge artists Raye and Stefflon Don on the track 'Cigarette'.
Jax Jones - 'Ring Ring'
That same year, Mabel collaborated with DJ Jax Jones on the track 'Ring Ring', also featuring rapper Rich the Kid.
Tiësto - 'God Is a Dancer'
In 2019, Mabel and Dutch DJ Tiësto teamed up to bring us their collab 'God Is a Dancer'.
AJ Tracey - 'West Ten'
In 2020, Mabel released the track 'West Ten' with the help of the hyper man himself, AJ Tracey.
Clean Bandit - 'Tick Tock'
Of course, who can forget the iconic collaboration that was Mabel and Clean Bandit, with their hit track 'Tick Tock' in 2020, also featuring 24kGoldn.
Joel Corry - 'I Wish'
In 2021, Mabel collaborated with 'Lonely' and 'Head & Heart' legend Joel Corry, with the upbeat song 'I Wish'.
Jax Jones and Galantis - 'Good Luck'
In March 2022, Mabel dropped her collab with Jax Jones and Galantis. The song, called 'Good Luck' took inspiration from Mabel's time during the first lockdown when she was prevented from seeing her friends and socialising.
24kGoldn 'Overthinking'
Mabel announced her 'personal' song with 24kGoldn called 'Overthinking' in May 2022. She said: 'It's a very personal song for me and I hope you love it as much as I do'.

Did she win a BRIT?
She certainly did! Adding to her chart success, Mabel also performed at the 40th BRIT Awards with Mastercard, and joined the winner's list as she picked up the BRIT Award for Female Solo Artist.
Has she toured with other artists?
Mabel has toured with a number of different pop stars since starting her music career in 2015. Over the past couple of years she's supported One Direction's Harry Styles, LANY, and Khalid on their tours, as well as performing at her own headline tours.
When can I see her live?
Mabel has not yet announced when she will be back on tour.
Mabel at the Platinum Jubilee Concert
In May 2022, it was announced that Mabel would be one of the incredible artists performing at Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee Concert on 4th June, and she shared a tweet confirming the news on 18th May.
At the show, Mabel danced in a bright yellow jumpsuit with a crowd of backing dancers as she performed her amazing track 'Don't Call Me Up'. After her performance, she took to Instagram to say: 'It was such an honour to perform and I’m so grateful I got to be part of the Queens Jubilee with so many other amazing artists ❤️' (sic).

Mable's cover of 'Time After Time'
On 12th November 2021, Mabel released a gorgeous cover version of Cyndi Lauper's 80's anthem 'Time After Time'. Not only that, but the song featured in the McDonald's 2021 Christmas advertising campaign!

McDonald's joined the Christmas advert trend along with many other retailers, with their 2020 Christmas advert showing an emotional story about embracing your inner child, accompanied by a cover of Alphaville's 'Forever Young' sung by Becky Hill.
