After announcing she would appear in the season finale of The Simpsons back in February, Lizzo has now shared a clip of herself on the show - a week early! 🙈

The singer, who is known for her hits 'About Damn Time', '2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)' and 'Good As Hell', is currently on the North American leg of her 'Special' Tour, and is set to appear in The Simpsons on 21st May.

Lizzo shared a short clip from the show writing: 'Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons — now I can add my name to the list! Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true 💖 (yes I’m wearing @yitty and playing @sashabefluting ) !!!!' (sic)

That's right, not only does Lizzo appear on the show, she is also wearing her own line of clothing, Yitty, and her flute Sasha makes an appearance.

In the clip, Lizzo can be seen voicing the part of another animated character alongside Homer, with Lisa and Bart looking on. Lisa then suggests moving on to the part where her character slaps Homer, which it turns out isn't just a sound effect. When Lizzo says: "It seems a bit excessive to me!" Bart then decides to demonstrate how to slap Homer.

Meanwhile, as Bart is slapping Homer, Lisa and Lizzo begin jamming on their saxophone and flute, playing the iconic theme tune.

Fans have been loving the new animated Lizzo with one writing: 'And your character is wearing YITTY! Period 🔥🔥', with another saying: 'A duet with Lisa while Bart plays percussion on Homer is awesome 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽'.

Just a day after sharing the clip, Lizzo shared another pic from The Simpsons, showing the popular meme where Homer is walking backwards into a hedge. She captioned the pic: 'NOT ME FINDING OUT MY SIMPSONS EPISODE IS NEXT WEEK 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ SOMEBODY TOLD ME THE WRONG DATE 😅😅😅😅😅 PRETEND U DIDNT SEE THAT CLIP UNTIL SUNDAY 5/21!!!! #LIZZOSIMPSONS'.
