Lady Gaga & Christina Aguilera Perform 'Do What U Want' Duet

Lady Gaga wowed viewers of The Voice US last night (17th December) by joining forces with Christina Aguilera to belt out ‘Do What U Want’.

Mother Monster was a very special guest on the final of the American talent show last night when she surprised the millions watching by inviting judge Christina Aguilera to duet with her.

With Aguilera taking on R Kelly’s part, the pair locked arms and hugged throughout the performance, which dramatically culminated with them smashing their champagne flutes to the ground.

28-year-old reggae fusion artist Tessanne Chin was unveiled as the winner of the fifth season of The Voice US.

Although there were rumours of a beef between Gaga and Aguilera when Mother Monster first broke onto the music scene, the pair have showered each other with praise in recent years.

Gaga told Talk Show host Andy Cohen: “From the very beginning of when my career started there was all this controversy about the two of us, and I always felt that it was very unfair to her. And Christina is an incredible vocalist and an incredible artist.”

She added: “From me to her, I'm so sorry for anything that anyone ever said to her because of my existence.

“I hope that she never felt anyway about it because when I was 15, I was singing ‘I Turn to You’ at the top of my lungs trying to hit all her notes.”
